The
patella (knee cap) has a very smooth, slippery surface on the underside
and glides over the underlying bone, called the femur. This forms the
patella femoral joint. The joint can be injured causing pain, crepitus
(snapping and popping) or swelling. The medical term for this is "patella
femoral syndrome." This syndrome can be made worse while doing
certain strenghtening exercises involving weights or machines. The CAB™
is patella-femoral friendly and, when used as instructed, will not cause
increased damage to the joint. In most cases, using the CAB™ will
help to alleviate pain and weakness associated with patella-femoral
syndrome. |
